Government Camp Retreat

This was a full renovation of a mountain residence reimagined as a rustic modern home for my client, someone who wanted warmth and authenticity without sacrificing clean, contemporary living.

They came to me looking for a home that felt grounded and lived-in, but still elevated and intentional. A space that could hold texture and imperfection in a beautiful, controlled way.

The inspiration came from natural materials and quiet simplicity. We paired rustic elements like aged wood and tactile stone with a modern foundation of clean lines and open flow, keeping everything edited and balanced.

The result is a rustic modern cabin that feels warm, honest, and deeply comfortable. Refined but relaxed, and perfectly suited to how they want to live now, grounded, easy, and connected to material and place.
