First of all, Shaye did an amazing job with my house! She took a plain vanilla tract home and transformed it into a showplace on a medium budget. My husband and I bought a second home to be near our family, which was a very different experience from our custom built home in California. To be honest, there wasn’t much to work with, but the house had a good floor plan that would suit our family well. Over several months, she remodeled the home to fit our dream, and the results are fantastic. Shaye removed the old fireplace and replaced it with beautiful marbled tile and an elegant mantle. She also took down a wall to install a custom wrought iron and wood bannister, replaced the plain white railing with a stunning black wrought iron rail, and updated all the cheap plumbing fixtures with sleek black ones. Additionally, she swapped out the door and cabinet hardware for matching black pieces and repainted every room to create a calm and serene space. One of my favorite aspects of this home transformation is the way she converted a bedroom into a beautiful office, complete with a unique wooden bifold door that resembles a barn door. Shaye sourced medium-priced furnishings, including some of the most comfortable chairs and a sofa, and found draperies that beautifully frame the rooms. She even devised a small bedroom to serve as a guest room/office/nursery. I can’t say enough good things about her work. During one of our meetings, she patiently guided me through the color scheme, showing me multiple options until I could see her vision. I perceive colors differently than she and my husband do, and her patience was truly commendable. I hope she shares before and after pictures of my house because you wouldn’t recognize it as the same home.
