I built Shaye Marie Designs around one core belief. That the client should always be the center of the work, not the firm.
Every design decision, every material selection, every creative direction is mine. I concept, design, and curate every project personally from start to finish. The technical work, drafting, and documentation is handled by my team of experts, which frees me to stay focused on what matters most to your project.
What that looks like in practice is a designer who is genuinely present throughout the entire process. Available when you need me, on site when it matters, and focused entirely on the quality of your project rather than the demands of running a traditional office. You get the resources and expertise of a full service firm with the attention and accessibility of someone who treats your project as their priority.
That presence matters more than most clients realize until they have experienced the alternative. Design projects move fast, and the moments that define the outcome are rarely scheduled. They happen on a Tuesday afternoon when the contractor has a question that needs an answer before the crew moves on. They happen when a material arrives damaged and a decision needs to be made immediately. They happen in the small, unglamorous moments that many designers are too removed from their projects to catch. I am not.
I have spent over two decades building a process that is as disciplined as it is personal. Every project moves through clear phases with defined deliverables, honest timelines, and regular communication so you always know where things stand. There is no guessing, no chasing, no wondering what is happening behind the scenes. You are kept informed because an informed client is a confident one, and confidence makes the entire process better for everyone involved.
I source materials and furnishings from wherever the best option exists, with access to vendors and makers from around the world, selected entirely on the merit of what is right for your space. Every recommendation is made with your project in mind and nothing else.
This is a boutique firm by design. I take on a limited number of projects each year because that is the only way to honor the trust every client places in me. When you work with Shaye Marie Designs, you are not handed off to a junior designer or managed from a distance. You get me, fully invested in your project from the first conversation through the final installation.
