Sylvan Highlands Traditional Contemporary

This was a full home renovation for a client who deeply values tradition, but didn’t want to feel stuck in it. They wanted to honor the character of the home, while finally making it work for how they actually live day to day.

I pulled from the home’s original traditional bones, its proportions, its sense of history, then layered in a more contemporary sensibility to open it up, lighten it, and improve flow throughout.

We kept what gave the home its soul, then reworked everything around it with intention: updated circulation, refined materials, and a softer, more livable rhythm between spaces.

The result feels like a natural evolution of the original home. Familiar and grounded, but fully renewed, and perfectly aligned with the way they live now.
