West-Haven Sylvan Sanctuary

This was a full renovation of a residence reimagined as a modern home rooted in depth, contrast, and quiet sophistication for my client.

They came to me wanting something strong and intentional, a space that felt modern and elevated, but still deeply livable. They were drawn to darker tones, but wanted it balanced so it never felt heavy or closed in.

The inspiration came from contrast and restraint. We built a palette around soft blacks, deep charcoals, and grounded neutrals, then layered in natural textures and warm undertones to keep the home from feeling stark.

We reworked the entire layout to open up flow, enhance light where it mattered most, and let each space feel distinct but connected.

The result is a modern black-toned home that feels confident and calm. Bold in its simplicity, warm in its execution, and perfectly aligned with how they want to experience their space, refined, grounded, and quietly powerful.
